Today, the context is much more favorable: The sophistication of on-line commerce, the rapid emergence of communities, the wealth of advertising revenue sources, etc. Isn’t it time you got your share of the Internet?

Companies like Google are making billions of dollars in revenue generated by ads. By the simple virtue of getting people to search using their search engines, Google has been able to generate so much revenue that its stock price topped the $500 mark a few days back. And it is us, yes we as in you and I, that are helping Google make that revenue. Google has nothing to offer to its adevertising payors if you and I decided to move to Yahoo or to somebody else not using Google engines (AOL does not count since it uses Google. But check this out: Google pays AOL ~10 cents for each search conducted by AOL users).

So why should Google keep all of that money (and build giant airplanes for its founders) when it is you and I who help it make that money, and we get paid nothing, zilch, nada! Should Google not be paying us to use their search engine –> which in turns allows them to show us ads –> which we then click on to buy googies and services –>which in turn generates revenue for the advertisers –>who then pay Google . Only people left out of reaping the profits is us, who appear more than once in the supply chain.

Agloco.com has a crazy business/revenue model, which I could also easily call highly innovative and still crazy if it works. Remember these are the same guys as AllAdvantage scheme. As Agloco is new, it is now securing members all over the world. It's alive and kicking. Everyday people talk about Agloco, in the forums, schools, offices etc. People know that it's going to be big. And when the time comes for Agloco to go public, it also means the time comes for its members to be millionaires.

Join now and get as many referrals as possible because your referrals help you to accumulate your shares which, when the time comes, you can sell your shares. Refer to my other post of how to count your shares with a certain amount referrals. If you are a member already, you can get excess to member area and there is a calculator there that you can use.

Interested? The only thing someone can do on a squeeze page is to enter their name and email.

Conversion rates for a squeeze page will vary but industry averages will be somewhere along these lines:

From PPC average 19% conversion
From affiliate traffic average 52% conversion
From non-specific referrals average 41% conversion

Once a marketer has a squeeze page and people have opted-in to their list then they will need an autoresponder to send emails to the people on the list on a consistent basis to continue to build rapport and keep them coming back and tuned-in for more.

From here then you can continue to drive traffic to this squeeze page and keep building the list.
All marketers need to make sure that they are not using spam techniques to drive traffic. “Spam is illegal, wrong and should never be done by any marketer,” says Tellman.

Because Internet Marketing is skill-based there are some quick, low-cost ways to learn the ways to build lists and squeeze pages. My first list by Tellman Knudson is a product we have used. Writing content takes time, and it also takes time to get the content advertised and get links into each page. If you still have a day job, it can be tough to make the time.

One way to motivate yourself to create the content and get the links is to calculate how much you are earning per page per year. Multiply that times any number of pages and you will have a good idea of how much money you are missing out on by NOT creating content and getting links.
Let's take an example. Let's say that you have 100 pages of content that are earning you $100 a month.

That means that each page is making you, on average, $1 per month, or $12 per year.

$12 per year may not sound like much, but let's say that you created one unique article every 3 days and got a few links to that article with link exchanges, etc. 365 days in a year means that in one year you will have added and linked about 122 additional pagesof content.

122 pages of content times $12 per year is $1,464 that you are missing out on every year because you are not creating new content.

Now, let's say that you can write and link one page per day. That's 365 pages per year, or $4,380 per year.

Get this free eBook

Getting The Most Out Of Google AdSense

http://kwiklinx.astracker.hop.clickbank.net

Of course, if you focus on the high paying keywords, you are much more likely to generate more than $12 per year per page. If you focus on the right keywords, you could make as much as $100 per page per year or more!

Do the math with that number, and you'll see that adding and linking one page ever 3 days will earn you an extra $12,200 per year. Writing one page per day will earn you an extra $36,500 per year!

And keep in mind that every year you will add additional content, which means that your earnings will grow and grow as time goes on.

The truth is, once you start creating a lot of quality content and getting just a few links to each page, the initial traffic you get will start to spread the word about your site. Next thing you know your site is getting hundreds of links from all over the place, and you didn't have to ask for them!

Traffic will start to build, your search engine rankings will improve, and in time you will be earning sums of money that you didn't dream of before–all because you took a few hours a week to devote to creating quality content and getting a few links.

So adopt a long-term AdSense vision, and in time you will reap the rewards.

Jonathan Leger is a well known AdSense, Marketing and SEO professional who posts regularly to his AdSense Articles blog.
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

INTERNET BUSINESS

HOW TO GET FREE WEBSITE TRAFFIC

Copyright 2005 East Tech LLC

There are many ways to get free web site traffic to your website or business promotion. One of the best ways is the use of free traffic exchanges. These exchanges allow you to submit your website into the rotation with hundreds, or thousands of other websites for the membership of that particular traffic exchange. Some traffic exchanges are better than others, so you need to make sure the ones you choose, are best for you and your business.

Needless to say, you want to pick a free traffic exchange that has lots of members so there’s much more exposure to your websites, sales pages or affiliate programs. You also want to make sure the audience would be more likely to purchase your product or service you’re trying to sell. For example, if you’re selling antique dolls and the free traffic exchange you’re joining is made up of 95% webmaster business opportunities, then your chances of selling something are slim to none. You need to know your market.

A free traffic exchange offers webmasters the ability to promote their websites or affiliate marketing campaigns for free, or at very low cost. The idea is to surf around other members websites, and for each viewing, you get so many of your own URLs and banners added into the rotation for other members to view. There are hundreds, if not thousands of free traffic exchanges online today. The trick is to find the ones that work best for you. Not all free traffic exchanges are created equal and the most active ones are not necessarily the best ones for your needs.

Free traffic exchanges are a great marketing tool for a variety of reasons. The most obvious reason is that you get lots of people looking, and hopefully clicking on your website or promotional pages. But there are hidden benefits to free traffic exchanges you may not have even considered.

Some free traffic exchanges may convert sales like crazy for one person, and be a complete waste of time for another. If everyone were promoting the same website or affiliate program is the same traffic exchange for example, then chances are you would not make many sales. Even if you were promoting the #1 thing on the internet, if everyone promoted the same program, your chances are much lower that someone will purchase through your website or link to make you any money. Also, when people see the same ad over and over again, they get desensitized to it. Don't fall into this trap. It's one thing to try and sell a very popular product/service/ebook etc, but it's another thing when a million other people are trying to do it too. Competition is a good thing, because it validates your market, but too much competition is tough and it's time to move on to something else. We all know clicking on ads in a free traffic exchange can be very boring, monotonous and can take a lot of time. That's why you need to make the best of your opportunity or you will just be wasting a lot of your time and effort on something that just isn't working. If you have your own niche website, then you already differentiated yourself from the pack. If you are an affiliate marketer, then you need to find products/services that everyone else isn't promoting, especially within that particular traffic exchange.

***************************************************

Get this free eBook

AdSense SEO Made Easy

http://www.adsensegold.com/easyseo.php?=kwiklinx

***************************************************

One way to use free traffic exchanges to your advantage is to join a few at first, and see if your sales pick up. If your sales aren’t doing well, then test out a few more. When you do find a few traffic exchanges that appear to be generating sales for you, then narrow those down until you find the one, or two that are working. Now concentrate your efforts on those because they’re the ones you want. At least for now. Things may change, so keep an eye on your campaigns and if sales seem to be falling off, then it might be time to change your offer or find another traffic exchange that could pick your profits up again. As I mentioned, your individual promotion is everything. If you're trying to promote something everyone else is, I don't care what traffic exchange service you're using, your sales conversions are going to be very low, or nothing at all. You cannot always blame the exchange. Sometimes you have to look at yourself and think if you're doing all you can to make sales.

If you're going to be using multiple free traffic exchanges, and I recommend that you do, your first priority should be to pick up a multi-tab web browser. Many of these browsers are free and run on PCs and MACs. The tabs feature allows you to have one web browser open with multiple tabs each going to a separate website. You could easily put 5 or 6 of your free exchange sites in these tabs, and earn credits for all of them at the same time. So instead of surfing for 1/2 an hour or an hour earning 200 hits for one exchange, you could earn 200 hits for 5 exchanges in the same amount of time. This is a huge time saver and multiplies your earned hits by 5X or 6X.

Getting free traffic to your website can be a lot of work. If you don’t have the money to spend on full blown PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns like Google AdWords, free traffic exchanges are a great way to get the traffic you need to get visitors to your site and close the sale.

About the author:
Andrew Daigle is owner and creator of many websites including a Free Traffic Exchange at http://beta.blogger.com/, DXInOne Free E-Currency Exchange Training Site http://beta.blogger.com/, Free Google AdWords Training at http://beta.blogger.com/

Circulated by Article Emporium

MINI E-COMMERCE SOFTWARE FAQ

WHAT IS E-COMMERCE SOFTWARE

E-Commerce Software allows an online merchant to quickly, efficiently, and professionally process online sales. Ease of the software's use and its application depends upon the software's features, but with technology constantly improving and focusing on the customer, most software packages are becoming more and more user friendly for both the seller (you) and the buyer (your customers). By "user-friendly," we mean things like minimal to no required programming (on your part), bulk uploading of the products you wish to sell, easy import of an existing product database, automatic calculations, and more.

WHEN IS E-COMMERCE SOFTWARE APPLICABLE?

Because of the software's size and extensive features, e-commerce software is more applicable towards implementing online catalogs of 100 or more products. Of course if you have less than 100 products, but also know that you will add many more in the future, e-commerce software would certainly be an appropriate investment. E-Commerce Software is also a smart tool to use if you need to downsize your sales force. Many of the features in most e-commerce software are designed to automate tasks that would otherwise require paid employees to do.

WHY USE E-COMMERCE SOFTWARE?

Part of the growing demand for e-commerce software is the automation it offers for both you, the merchant, and for your customers. Not only does most software of this type process the sale for you, it can also point your customer to his or her own online shopping list, related products, coupons, gift certificates, quantity discounts, wholesale pricing, and/or custom shipping arrangements. Behind-the-scene (behind your website, that is), your software can automatically update your inventory, verify and process credit card payments with your bank, integrate payment data with your preferred accounting software. calculate and accept payment in any currency, automatically calculate taxes by state or country, process checks, phone orders, and P.O. orders. For your records, your e-commerce software can store, track, and generate sales reports and customer reports.

Another reason why e-commerce software is so popular is because it strengthens the privacy and security of personal information exchanged between the seller and the buyer. E-commerce software is designed to use secure servers - the current force against unfortunate events like credit card and/or identity theft.

If properly integrated within the merchant's website, e-commerce software can even act as a separate module for search engine data by adding specific product keywords, descriptions, and titles. And because of unique sales opportunities (holiday sales for example) you will generate keywords for your website that may not have been considered before.

HOW E-COMMERCE SOFTWARE WORKS

E-Commerce Software works with your website. Your website acts as the interface between the customer's web browser and your database of products. In order for your website to retrieve and send data to the customer, your website and your e-commerce software must reside on your own server (unless you choose to use a 3rd party service to run the software on their server for you). To allow customers to purchase items from your product database, your e-commerce software will help you determine how you want to display items, arrange product categories, price your wares, display customer order history, automate confirmation emails, and more from your website. Special HTML, CGI, Javascript, or ASP code placed onto your website pages will call and display this type of information on your customer's web browser.

Advanced e-commerce software will enable you to automate repeat visitor greetings, manage e-mail or customer help requests, and implement sale discount mechanisms.

DocuMaker@aol.com: Visit http://tinyurl.com/7u4wo for more internet articles and ghost writing services.

About the author:
DocuMaker is a Rent-A-Coder Certified Expert. Did you know that by bidding on variations of popular keywords you can grab hundreds or even thousands of visitors that your competitors didn't even consider?

Why Keywords Are So Important

What is a keyword? The answer is simple... It's what a user types when they are searching for something they want on the Internet.

If you want to dress up as Darth Vader and buy the outfit online, you could go to Google and search for the merchandise you need. But what would you type? Maybe Darth Vader Helmet? Or Darth Vader Mask? Or would you type Mask + Darth Vader? How about Darth Vader costume or Darth Vader Adult Costume? What if you misspelled Darth Vader?

As an online consumer, chances are you would keep typing variations of what you wanted until you saw what you were looking for. Well wouldn't it be nice if a company had exactly what you wanted and you saw their ad the first time you typed your query?

As a vendor using Google Adwords, you can't afford to miss opportunities like this. If you were selling Darth Vader Masks, you sure don't want your prospect to type Dark Vader Masks and NOT see your ad. Do You?

So, it's important to load up your Ad Groups with keywords that real people are typing when searching for things online.

How can you anticipate what people will type? Well, there are a few websites that can help you out. Maybe you've heard of them: Overture and Google.

Many people are familiar with Overture's search term suggestion tool. You can find it here: http://inventory.overture.com. It's a great tool for estimating demand of specific keywords. You can compare the number of searches for one keyword with another and you can also see popular search phrases that contain your keyword.

For example, if you type Darth Vader into Overture. Your results may include: darth vader, darth vader costume, darth vader picture, darthvader wall paper, darth vader helmet, and so on. Plus you'll see numbers next to each term telling you how many searches were run with that key word or phrase. The numbers may or may not be accurate, but in relation to each other, they give you a good benchmark of which phrase is typed more often.

One of the biggest complaints people seem to have with overture's tool is that it lumps together singulars and plurals and often alphabetizes the words in a phrase so you don't know if people are typing "vader helmet" or "helmet vader". Another complaint is that you are not given any results unless they contain your term (ex. Darth Vader). Therefore, you might miss out on keywords containing a synonym for Darth Vader like Anakin.

To help with what Overture lacks, a lot of people are using Google's Keyword Tool found here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox. It's much more specific about the order of words, singulars and plurals AND also suggests related terms that may or may not contain your original phrase. The downfall that most people mention is the lack of numerical data to give an idea of how many searches are performed for each term.

A quick use of Google's tool provides similar results to Overture, but also includes terms like lightsaber, anakin, comic, count dooku, and sidious.

If you want the best of both worlds in one spot, you can use a tool like WordTracker found here: http://www.theadtool.com/wordtracker. This very useful tool will give you counts from most search engines, distinguish between singular and plural, and offer related terms with their counts. It also provides an index number called KEI to give you an idea on how competitive certain terms are (mostly for organic search engine marketing).

Regardless of which tools you use, it's critical that you grab hundreds of keyword variations and put them into your ad groups. If you don't, you're probably missing out on some very low priced terms and might even be missing out on what everyone is typing when searching. If you know the story of the insurance companies promoting auto insurance instead of car insurance, then you can certainly see the importance of including related terms.

About the author:
Instantly cut your Google Adwords bid prices by 30% - guaranteed! The order of importance will vary from person to
person.

I have had the good fortune to be quite successful with
home-based internet businesses. No, that is not completely
accurate, I have had success because I have invested a lot of
sweat equity in my work at home business activities.

Having spent many years in the corporate world, I am a firm
believer in the team aspect of business and so I naturally
gravitated toward network marketing instead of trying to go
solo selling products/services and competing with the big players
like Yahoo, Amazon and the other well known names.

After doing considerable research, I found a very well
established and financially solid internet-based company to work
with. Using my business experience in the "offline world" and
developing my internet marketing skills on the fly in an OJT
(aka: on-the-job-training) format, things have gone very well and
I recently spent some time trying to identify some of the primary
traits that are common in my most successful team members.

Whether you're breeding bird dogs, or race horses, or drafting
college football players to play in the NFL...it's important to
develop "markers" that can be very useful in predicting success.
From my offline, traditional, business experience I have known
this from the get-go, but for some reason I was slow to learn
(or, was it re-learn?) that identifying the people with a high
likelihood of success is even more important when developing an
online network marketing business that depends upon teamwork.

Reflecting back on many of the truly successful people I have
worked with in network marketing, I made a list of the numerous
success factors that emerged when I assessed each person
individually. After compiling the list, three factors seemed to
stand out as being the most common success indicators. In no
particular order, these factors were:

*approaching the business with a long term perspective. It takes
a lot of time to become an "overnight success"

*exhibiting the tenacity of a pit bull

*being able to ride the emotional roller coaster (two steps
forward and one step back) in the early stages of developing
the business

Just because a person has these characteristics, it does not
ensure success and, on the flip side, a person is not necessarily
doomed to failure just because he or she does not possess them
all.

About the author:
Kirk Bannerman operates a successful home based business and
coaches others seeking to start their own home based business.
Visit his website at http://beta.blogger.com/for more details.

Circulated by Article Highway

RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL HOME BASED BUSINESS ON THE WEB

Many people these days are looking into starting their own ecommerce business, or looking into expanding their existing business onto the web. Once they get this idea they go online and research for hours on how to run a successful business online and most of them come up with junk like, “I made $20,000 in my first month, now I am on vacation and still making money off my website”. These places also state you can be really lazy and do minimal work while becoming filthy rich. Well these websites are wrong and must be avoided at all costs.

Starting an internet business is just like any other business. It takes hard work. You can not just sit around doing minimal work and expect to make a decent income. It will take much of your time getting to understand the world of ecommerce at first as well as finding your niche. Here’s a few tips on how to run a successful internet business.

1. First you must find out exactly what products you want to sell.
Try to find products that everyone and their moms aren’t selling. Find a line of products that are in high demand but very few suppliers of them if any. If you find this (which most people don’t) you just took a giant step into a successful business online.

2. Search for suppliers of this type of products with good prices.
Of course like any other type of business you would have to find a supplier for your products. Now there is one benefit you will have having your business online which is called drop shipping. With drops shipping you never see the products you sell, you just send the orders to your wholesale drop ship company and they ship it out for you. The best place to find wholesale company’s that would drop ship for you is worldwidebrands.com

3. Decide weather you want to sell on auctions or on your own website.
If you are in a rush and would like to start quickly you would probably prefer selling on auction websites such as ebay. If you sell on auctions I would also prefer you list your products on yahoo auctions since its absolutely 100% free with no costs at all. You will make less sales then ebay but there are no costs. Also you may start up your internet business with a website. Websites usually take much work in creating it and will take some time. You may hire a web designer to build one for you or just build it yourself. I prefer you learn how to, and build it yourself since its your business and you should know what’s going on. Learning HTML is very easy. If you know how to use Microsoft word and Microsoft Power Point, then you would know how to use Microsoft Front Page to build your websites! It’s that simple.

4. Promoting your website once it is finished.
If you sell on auctions don’t worry about promoting them because you will get traffic from people searching the auctions site. Promoting your website is very simple but takes much hard work and lots of your time. A few years ago people used to say “Make it and they will come”, this is no longer the case at all. If you make a website and open for business no one will come unless you market it well. The best way to get traffic (visitors) to your website is by ranking high in search engines. To do that you may hire a search engine optimization company to do so, but it may be very costly even though most times its worth it. To do the search engine optimization (SEO) yourself here’s a few tips. Build as many links as you can to your website with your keywords in the anchor text. You may do this by submitting your site to many many directories, I suggest you never stop finding new directories to list to because every day there are 100’s of new directories that open. Search engine traffic may take a while to achieve meanwhile you could list your products on shopping comparison sites such as yahoo shopping, bizrate.com, pricegrabber.com etc. These are pay per click product search engines. I also suggest you list your site on froogle.com since its 100% free. You may also start an adwords campaign. This is simply paying to rank high in search engines with google. You may also start an affiliate program, where people advertise your site for you and you pay them a commission for each sale they give you. If you are new to all of this I suggest you post on webmaster forums to better understand the industry. Make sure you post a signature link to your website on all your posts because it will get you traffic and higher search engine rankings.

About the author:

Shakib Nassiri - CEO of SplayTech - To get the best deals on the hottest new
electronics products on the web please visit
SplayTech.com - Best Electronics Deals Anywhere!

Circulated by Article Highway

WORKING FROM HOME - THE ONLINE BUSINESS REALITY

According to a recent Harris poll, 72% of American households are thinking about starting a home based business. This is quite frankly a staggering statistic. Almost three quarters of Americans are unsatisfied with their current employment situation for one reason or another. Many of these unsatisfied workers are turning to the Internet to fuel their work from home dream jobs.

Quitting the never ending rat race is a personal decision that many work from home entrepreneurs face. Their reasons for wanting to work from home vary. Some people find that they simply have no other choice but to work out of their home office. Perhaps they have to take care of their elderly parents or their children, or they themselves are house-bound. Some people are retired and find that finally having an opportunity to spend time in their own home is a huge comfort and joy. Even college kids, stay at home spouses, and those recently downsized are finding that the Internet is simply the best option for starting and running a profitable home based business.

Working from home is a serious commitment that all entrepreneurs should consider. However, they must be aware of the negatives and risks of the Internet. The Internet is fraught with get rich quick schemes. It is also overflowing with misleading business building hype and flat out work from home lies. Any program or opportunity that promises big bucks with little work is a fraud. Proper research and common sense should eliminate many frauds and scams. Developing a solid Internet business requires partnerships with strong and professional companies.

Building a real business, no matter what kind of business, requires hard work. That's the bad news. The good news is there has never been a better time to start a business from home because the Internet makes it a low-cost and low-risk venture. Building an online business or work from home business does not require massive amounts of start up capital. With that said, it is possible to over spend on your business simply by neglecting the research.

Learning about web hosting companies and traffic building strategies in the beginning of your work from home business plan is a tremendous positive step. There are many web hosting companies that offer cheap domains and seemingly endless features. The problem many web entrepreneurs face is they invest in the wrong web hosting company at the start up phase of their business. They soon discover that they have not built an online business. They have simply built an online brochure that sits unvisited by the millions of web surfers. Now they must invest more and more money into building a bigger and better site, or paying a firm to optimize their web pages, or paying a search engine to display their ads.

A web business that sits unvisited is not a business at all. Online entrepreneurs know they need an income to be successful. They also realize that building an online business is a series of steps. They must rank well in the search engines by providing excellent content filled web pages. In return for ranking so well, the search engines send droves of targeted customers to the online business. Now that the online business has customers, it can begin to develop a relationship with them. It warms the customer by creating a welcoming and personal feel. All of the great information and the atmosphere of the website will build a trust between the business and its customer. It is this relationship of that leads to profitability.

Forget the long string of classic work at home dead-end jobs like envelope-stuffing and telemarketing. Use the Web to build something terrific that excites you, a business to be proud of, that you own, and that earns you substantial income. Working from home rewards entrepreneurs in so many ways. Here are some tips to make sure your online shopping experience is a positive one.

Make sure the web site is reputable.

If you're shopping on a new site that you've never done business with before and it isn't a brand name you recognize, take the time to do a little homework before you share any sensitive personal information. Look around the site to see if there's a third-party seal of approval posted from a trusted source like the Better Business Bureau Online, or Trust-E. Membership in these organizations means the web site has agreed to be held to strict standards in how they handle personal information, as well as customer complaints.

You can also enter the name of the web site or business into your favorite search engine to see what comes up. If someone has had a bad experience with the site, it may be mentioned in a user forum or consumer information site.

Only shop at sites that use secure technology.

When information is passed between your computer and the shopping site's server, it should be encrypted. If a shopping site's server uses encryption technology, your data will be scrambled into something like 'secret code' and then unscrambled when it reaches the shopping site's server, to prevent unscrupulous hackers from capturing the information during transmission.

When a shopping site asks you for any kind of personal data, there are two things to look for to know that it's using encryption technology:

- An icon of a small locked padlock will appear in the bottom right of your monitor's screen.

- The URL of the web page should begin with "https:", which also indicates that it's a secure web page.

Know what your shipping costs will be before you check out.

A reputable site will make their shipping costs easy to find, before you check out. Take the time to look for this information, to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Data collected from surveys of online shopping experiences consistently show that the one thing online shoppers dislike above all is shipping charges. While it's unavoidable that you have to absorb the cost of shipping one way or another, smart retailers will try to keep these costs to a minimum. Sometimes they'll do this creatively by offering you incentives to purchase more, to help offset their costs for discounted shipping charges.

And while reputable sites will have a liberal return policy in the event you're not happy with your merchandise, be aware that in most cases you won't be reimbursed for the shipping charges to return the item.

Make sure you understand the return policy.

Never purchase anything from a web site without reading the fine print - particularly the fine print about its return policy. Good retail sites will allow you to return items you're not completely happy with, but sometimes there are stipulations that you should be aware of before you order.

Is there a restocking fee? This charge can be anywhere from 5%-20% of an item's purchase price, and is meant to discourage customers from returning merchandise. Also make sure you know how much time you have to return an item in order to receive a refund. Some companies seem to allow an almost unlimited return window, but in some cases it can be as little as one week after you receive your order. You may still be able to return an item after this period, but will only receive a store credit instead of a full refund.

Shop with confidence.

Online retail sales in the U.S. amounted to $65B in 2004, and predictions for 2008 expect that figure to rise to $117B. An unbelievable variety of merchandise is already available on the Internet, and as time goes on the choices will be even greater. But to take advantage of this shopping paradise, consumers still need to be savvy shoppers. Shop securely and read the fine print, and then enjoy the savings and convenience of online shopping!

About the author:
Cash Back Shopping - Save up to 40% on your next online purchase. Post this information on your website, as well as emailing it to your customers. This saves you the headache of dealing with customers who order for the holidays that gifts did not arrive in time.

Tip #2: Offer customers a reason to do all or most of their holiday shopping with you. Hint: they can avoid the dreaded holiday crowds by having their items shipped right to their door. A second reason would be that by doing all their online shopping with you they can save on shipping by combining it all into one box.

Tip #3: Offer specialty "Gift" packages of a collection of your items and give customers a discount. Many dropship companies offer these gift "baskets" or "kits" around the holidays anyway. Just be sure to "feature" them in a prominent spot on your home page and in your newsletter. These give the impression to gift recievers of a "wrapped" feeling making it feel more like a gift than a box full of products.

Tip #4: Find out if the dropshipping company offers gift wrapping and if they do offer it to your customers. Drop shippers are creating multiple websites selling numerous product lines and making a fortune in the process. Just type any product you can think of into a search engine and just look at how many pages of websites come up-and most of them are drop shipping companies selling their wares!

Drop Shipping Benefits

The reason why drop shipping has become so popular and exploded so suddenly is that it is simply the most efficient way to sell retail goods. People surfing the web find a site selling a product they want and then make a purchase. The website owner (drop shipper) then passes that order along to their wholesaler along with payment and shipping costs.

From there, the wholesaler processes the order, packages the product with the website owner's business name on the packaging, and ships it directly to the customer. The website owner bought the product at wholesale price and then sold it to the customer for whatever price they thought they could charge, and profited from the difference. It really is pure genius!

But, there is more to this than you think and the beauty of drop shipping gets even better! First of all, there is virtually no overhead because there is no store to operate (or employees to pay!) or any inventory to maintain. Stores like Wal-Mart may get better wholesale prices because they buy in such large quantities, but they still do not make as much profit on each item as a drop shipper due to the costs of operating their stores.

Drop Shipping with Ebay

Although websites are definitely cheaper to create and operate than a conventional retail store, they still can require a fairly sizeable investment of time and money. Between paying for servers and either creating or paying for content, websites can definitely eat up some time and money. But, this is where Ebay comes in.

For a small fee, you can post your wares on Ebay and benefit from the millions and millions of people who surf the site every year. This way, you never have to worry about maintaining any website and you can start selling products within a day or two.

Due to the incredible traffic on Ebay, it is definitely possible to make a fortune by drop shipping from the site. If you just think of the Ebay fee as a business expense, there really is no downside to the arrangement and it can definitely be more profitable than operating your own site and worrying about getting people to visit your site.

While some people may not like the idea of depending upon Ebay for their business, the fact remains that drop shippers can substantially benefit from the partnership. Due to the incredibly low operational costs of drop shipping, the Ebay fee is a very small price to pay for the convenience and high traffic offered by the site. If you are thinking about going into drop shipping but are not crazy about the idea of creating and operating your own website, consider posting from Ebay because the benefits far outweigh the small fee charged by the site.

About the author:
Jason James is an eBay PowerSeller and his website "Auction Resource Network" reveals his inside secrets, tips, and sources that help him earn $10,000+ a month on eBay. Claim your FREE e-Course Here: http://www.auctionresourcenetwork.com

Circulated by Article Highway

THE HOWS AND WHYS OF CREDIT CARD PROCESSING

Credit card processing allows an Internet enterprise so much latitude in accommodating a wider array of potential customers. Credit card processing, in fact, should be one of the primary considerations in building an online enterprise.

If you always wanted to know about credit card processing, then this article is for you. We will discuss the many benefits that can be gained by incorporating credit card processing into your online business, as well as the steps that you’d need to take to have a credit card processing system firmly entrenched in your business’ operations.

The Whys Of Credit Card Processing

Aside from the aforementioned latitude in accommodating credit card-paying customer, credit card processing would also allow you to organize your business into a well-oiled machine. With credit card processing, you would be able to automate the workings of your venture when it comes to accepting payments.

Additionally, by including credit card processing into your business, you’d be able to make things convenient for your potential customers. With credit card processing, they won’t have to send money checks, place checks by phone, or send money orders to purchase your products. Because of the credit card processing system you will have in place, all they have to do is to give the details of their plastic cash. The credit card processing system would verify this, and if all is well, the transaction would be executed smoothly.

Credit card processing is also an important component in automating your online business. Automation of course, is what you will need to earn 24/7, even when you’re offline. Credit card processing makes this possible as it will take care of payments without the need for constant supervision and intervention.

The Hows Of Credit Card Processing

The heart of credit card processing is, of course, a merchant account. A merchant account is a service that you would have to enroll with to avail of a credit card processing system that would take care of your orders. There are many kinds of merchant accounts offering to take care of your credit card processing needs. Some of them require a monthly fee to maintain a credit card processing account, while others only demand a onetime fee for the total enjoyment of such credit card processing services.

Price, however, should only be secondary to quality of service when it comes to credit card processing systems. Always bear in mind that the bread and butter of your online business, that is the payment, rests on the shoulders of what should be an effective credit card processing system. Make the choice of the best credit card processing service one of your main considerations when building your online venture.

About the author:
Jeff Usher researches and writes articles on all aspects of Internet Marketing and eCommerce. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article.

2) Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community they will regularly return to communicate with others.

3) Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they'll be reminded to revisit your web site. They'll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders.

4) Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This'll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your web site at the same time.

5) Trade links with other web sites. They should be related to the subject of your web site. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc.

6) Combine your products or services into one big package deal with other businesses offerings. You could share a web site and advertise the package deal; which means double the traffic.

7) Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people's questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings.

8) Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber difference between e-zines, one can run more ads to make up for it.

Great.
Try my methods now...You will increase your site traffic and make more sales.

About the author:
Massimo D'Amico is an Italian computer teacher. Some of these ebooks you can get at no cost, but if you want really good information, you're going to have to spend some money. Some ebooks sell for just a few dollars and some of these ebooks sell for hundreds of dollars.

So what are ebooks?

Ebooks are simply downloadable books. You can download them and either read them on your computer or print them out and read them whenever you want. I myself usually print them out and read them because it's so much easier than sitting at my computer. You'll definitely want to print them out if it's a long ebook.

I've got a little secret to tell you about ebooks. Many people online are making a killing selling and giving away ebooks online. Yes, it's true. People are making money by selling information. They are known as information publishers. I'm one of these so I know the real income potential in selling these ebooks.

When I first got started though all I did was lose money. Many people that try to sell ebooks lose money too. There are several reasons but mainly because they just don't know how to do it the right way. They think if they write an ebook, get it setup online to sell then the cash will just start pouring in. This simply just is not true. Many people walk away after putting in tons of effort setting everything up thinking that they can't make any money. If they realized that they had to have people to sell it to, they would have saved themselves a lot of time.

You have to have a marketing plan and be willing to try new strategies to help you sell your ebook. There's even ebooks written about how to product and promote ebooks that can help you all the way from start to finish. Just go to your favorite search engine and I'm sure you can find at least ten of these ebooks.

Before you start purchasing them though, make sure that you read some reviews about them. Some of them are pure junk and will leave you with even more questions than you had before you even read the ebook. With a little research though you find exactly what resources you need to get up and running with creating and selling ebooks.

Your first step will be finding a demand for your ebook. You'll have to find what people want before you can give it to them. Once you've done that you can begin writing your ebook, and then selling your ebook by implementing many different marketing strategies. It all sounds harder than it really is, but as long as you have a plan and focus on your end goal, selling ebooks can be a very profitable business.

Liz Tomey is a successful Internet marketer who has produced several amazing products about creating an income online. Because Ebooks have so many distinctive qualities that other media lack. For instance, ebooks are easily and cheaply produced and replicated, easily available, are much more interactive, can be strategically used for marketing purposes, and more and more.

You simply need to have a good idea and a will to write an ebook. No problem if you don’t want to write one; you can also have it done for you from a professional writer. Once you have a book, all you need is a proper ebook compiler, software that will create an ebook. Guess what you have just avoided… cost of getting a publisher, a printing press, the risky decision to determine how many copies to produce, distributor, and the list goes on.

Now, what if you wanted to reprint your ebook to meet its growing demands or felt like revising it and getting another edition out? No worries! Just make the changes to your original file. If you don’t want that then create another ebook with your ebook compiler software. There are simply so many options with ebooks.

Ebook really gives the reader a wonderful experience of reading if you can add some interactivity to it. In fact, interactivity is one feature that had helped it to overshadow the printed books. You can add graphics, audio and video files and hyperlinks to other internet resources that contain even more information and survey forms to your ebook.

Ebooks are easily and instantly available. If your customer wants to get one of your ebook that is available on your website or some other affiliate websites, they will just have to go to the website and download it on their computer. Within minutes they are on your customer’s computer, ready to be read. Continuing to talk about its availability, ebooks can be made available for a longer time and in a lesser cost than printed books. You can keep it on your website as long as you like without costing you much. Moreover, there are plenty of other websites that are ready to keep your ebook freely.

When it comes to pirated replication, then it’s something that you can easily avoid. Ebook compilers like the one found at Antssoft.com have security features that prevent readers from copying or printing your ebook content.

So what are you waiting for? Do some research, write an ebook, compile it with an ebook compiler software, determine your niche market to sell it, have it on your website or get help from some internet marketing experts to sell them, and voila! You will have your customers knocking your door. Good luck!

Mandeep Raj Mishra is the director and Search Engine Consultant of Outsourcing Haven, Inc. It's obvious why electronicself-publishing has become so popular so quickly.

The publishing industry, I hope, does not intend toforever banish the printed word to the dustbin ofhistory. Books in print have their own specialqualities and merits, and the world would bediminished by their disappearance.

Having said that, let's look at what makes ebooks soimportant and so unique. Ebooks have certain abilitiesand qualities that other mediums do not possess.

For example, ebooks are fairly easy to produce, andtheir production cost is inexpensive. Just think aboutit: you don't need a publisher, an agent, a printingpress, offset film, ink, paper, or even a distributor. You just need a great concept, the ability to write itor to hire a writer, and the right software.

Additionally, ebooks are easily and rapidlydistributed online. They are also easily updated; theydo not require a second print run. All you need is togo into your original creation and modify the text orgraphics. Because of this flexibility, ebooks canchange and grow as fast as you can type.

Ebooks are also immediately obtainable. You don't haveto go to a bookstore or search through endless titlesat an online bookstore. All you have to do is downloadit from a website, and presto! It's on your computer, ready to be read.

Ebooks are interactive. This is one of the most uniqueand specific qualities that ebooks offer. You can addsurveys that need to be filled out, order forms forcustomers to purchase your products or goods, soundand video that draw your reader into the virtual worldof your ebook, even direct links to relevant sitesthat will expand your ebook outward. The potential isvirtually limitless.

Ebooks have a particular kind of permanence that othermediums do not possess. Television shows and radioshows air once, and then may rerun a few times. Ebooksremain on your computer for as long as your choose, and they can be read and reread whenever you chooseto. They can even be printed out and stored on theshelves of your traditional home library. Another wonderful quality is that ebooks have nobarriers in terms of publishing. You don't need to gothrough the endless process of submitting yourmanuscript over and over again, and then once you landan agent, having the agent submit your manuscript overand over again. Nor do you have to shell out thousandsof dollars for printing a self-published book. Allebooks require is a writer and appropriate software.Figure out your market, write your book, post it onyour website, and with the right business savvy, youraudience will come to you.

Finally, you have creative control over your ebook. You don’t have to compromise with an editor or thepublishing trends of the time. You don't have tohaggle with a designer or wait for copyedited galleysto arrive by snail mail. You are in complete controlof the design and the text.
How to Use ebooks for Marketing and Promotion

There are innumerable ways to use ebooks to promoteyour business and drive quality traffic to yourwebsite. Once posted on your site, you can turn theminto a daily course, which brings your customer backto read the next chapter. You can use them as a freegift for making a purchase or for filling out asurvey. Put your ebook on a disc, and you will have aninnovative brochure. Blow your competition away byinserting the disc into your sales packages.

The most effective marketing products are those thatare unique. Copyright your ebook, and immediately, youhave a powerful tool that you, and you alone, canoffer to the public. People will have to visit yoursite to acquire your ebook, which increases the flowof quality traffic and the potential of sales andaffiliate contacts.

Make sure that you keep your ebook current. Update itfrequently as the market and trends change. Add newadvice and techniques to show your prospects how yourgoods or services can enrich their lives. Byconstantly keeping abreast of new trends andtechniques, you can continue to see profits from yourebook for years after your original creation.

Another phenomenal advantage of ebooks is that you cantest their marketing potential without putting outhardly any cash at all. You can even produce an ebookone copy at a time, each time you receive an order, eliminating the need for storage and inventory. Bythis method, you can gauge the saleablity of yourebook, and make adjustments as necessary until theorders start pouring in. Ebooks allow you to learnabout your market and customer habits and motivationover a period of time, without risking your preciousfinancial resources. They also provide you with aninvaluable way to gather marketing information, whichyou can use in many different facets of your business.

Use your ebook to discover what the specific goals andproblems are in your specific industry. Then figureout how to solve these problems, and publish an ebookwith this invaluable information. This will increasethe value of your business, upgrade your reputation, and get you known as an expert in your field.

You can extend the value of single ebook by breakingthe book down into chapters for a serial course, intospecial reports available on your website, or intoaudio or visual tapes. Ebooks can be broken down intoseveral different promotional materials by exceptingsome of the articles and using them to promote yourproduct. You can include a catalog in your ebook topromote all the products or services you sell. You caninclude a thank-you note for reading your book and aninvitation to download a trial version of yourproduct. Or you can include a form for your audienceto contact you for further information or withquestions, thereby building your businessrelationships and your mailing list.

Using ebooks in this manner helps to cut the cost ofindividually producing separate promotional materials. You can use a single ebook to entice new prospects andto sell new products to your current customers.

No other medium has this kind of flexibility andability for expansion. Think of your ebook like aspider spinning a beautiful and intricate web. Now goand create that web, and see how many customers andprospects you can catch!

Resources:Mike Campbell operates http://www.onlinentrepreneur.net/, For step by step video coaching to help you create and Market your OWN eBook click here and Learn To Make Money Online.
http://www.onlinentrepreneur.net/createinstantcdproducts.aspx
This article may be copied and/or distributed freely, provided that this resource box and links remain intact.
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

FOUR KEY POINTS TO YOUR SUCCESS SELLING NICHE E-BOOK ONLINE

Author: by Ian Basford

With today's advanced technology it has never been easier for someone to start their own publishing business.

You can create and market your own ebook (electronic book) for an unbelievably low price (sometimes free). Furthermore, because the ebook is not a book but a computer file, you can offer it for immediate download once the purchase has taken place. The computer file is then downloaded (or copied) to the purchaser's home computer, but you still own the original (or copy).

You have a continual inventory, night and day, without having to re-stock. There is no office space required, no staff other than yourself, and a fully automated payment and delivery system which requires very little maintenance. This really is the perfect business. The ultimate business.

Consumers are hungry for information. And they want it now! Electronic products provide the information and have immediate access.

Here are four key points that I wish to make here.

1. The information is out there, and it seems that everyone is trying to sell it. The same information, sometimes packaged differently but not always. I'm sure you've seen the adverts. The identical adverts selling the exact-same-identical product. One of the ways to be successful in this virtually new arena is to provide “niche” products. Information that no-one else is selling. I could not even begin to do the subject justice in a small article such as this. I have (quite literally, whilst searching for inspiration) just found a gem of an ebook on the subject of niche ebook publishing. I am not affiliated with this ebook in any way, shape, or form. I simply offer it to help you, and because the information contained within is just too good. http://www.ebookresource.info/pages/downpages/business.html#n.

2. Duplicate your efforts. It is unlikely, but not unheard of, that you will stumble upon a product that everyone wants and will pay you huge sums of money to get their hands on. Duplication, or multiple streams of income, is the sure-fire way to success when it comes to selling information products online.

Write your first ebook and market like crazy, but don't lose sight of the longer term. Have one eye focused on your next ebook project. For example, I had my first sales page up and working within a few short days, complete with affiliate scheme and shopping cart. I marketed my ebook like crazy. A few days later, I had my second ebook online and ready to go. I marketed my second ebook like crazy. Do you see where this is leading? It is highly unlikely that you will hit a winner with just one ebook, but multiply your efforts over a number of products and sell a few of each every week, and soon you will be reaping the benefits.

3. Offer something for free. On all my websites I offer a free ebook to download. I make sure that it is of the highest quality, because if it isn't my customers will assume that the product I'm selling is of the same standard. A good place to get free etext to turn into an ebook is Project Gutenburg at http://www.gutenberg.org/. Most of the etext here is out of copyright, but check the license of anything that you borrow from this site. The license is always included within the text file. For example, on my UFO Report site I am giving away a free copy of Jules Vernes' Around the Moon. I downloaded this as a plain text file and converted it to a pdf file, making sure I had a link back to my website at the beginning and end of the ebook. I have also offered my free ebook to a number of ebook directories to give away. Not only am I giving away something free on my website, but I have my ebook listed on other websites across the web. With links back to my own site included, of course.

This is viral marketing, and it works incredibly well. On auto-pilot. Put a few hours work in at the beginning, then just sit back and reap the rewards. For years to come, with no more effort on your part. Let your free ebook guide people to your site. Another point to make here is that you should offer something free that is closely related to what you are selling. Thus, the people downloading your free ebook will already be predisposed toward the product you are selling.

4. Cross-promote your products/websites. However many products/websites you have, link them all together. Put a banner at the top/bottom of the page. Put a small, unobtrusive button down the left-hand side of the page. I always create a Links page for my websites, and try to gain exposure by linking to other websites in this way. It is important to remember that links to websites with similar subject material to yours will be of far greater value than links to unrelated websites. These are called quality links and most of the search engines love them. I'm off to start work on my next project now. The truth is that the term domain name is a simple geek term referring to the address of a website.

To make it simpler, domain names are essential to websites in the same manner that names are important to people. Can you imagine people being addressed or being called using a series of pin numbers instead of their names? Remembering names is already a problem for most people so you can just imagine how chaotic it would b e if people do not have names but just numbers.

This works the same way with websites which are addressed using domain names instead of a series of numbers commonly referred to as IP address. Like most numbers, IP addresses can be hard to remember and they are permanent meaning a new IP address for a new web hosting company.

While an IP address is just a series of hard to remember numbers, a domain name is something that can be given character and can be easily remembered. Try to browse the internet and if you want to know the domain name of the site being viewed, look at the browser bar.

The last word or series of letters after the domain name is the domain extension under which the website address is registered. Examples of domain extensions are com which refers to a commercial domain, org which refers to a non-profit domain and even no or fr which stands for France or Norway and which refers to the country domain. The extension domains are usually preceded by a period which is read as dot.

Both the name of the website, which I called the sub domain and the domain extension make up the complete domain name of a site. People who are abut to register their domain names should think carefully about the name because domain names are unique and it is what gives the website a unique characteristic. Domain names are unique because they are controlled in a centralized database.

Having your own domain name does not come free because with registration comes payment. By registering your domain name, you get the exclusive right to use that domain name but only for a certain number of years depending on the policy of the company where you bought your domain name. When that period expires and you want to continue using the domain name then you can renew your contract.

When choosing your domain name, you can use a maximum of 67 characters made up of letters from A to Z or number from zero to nine or a mixture of both numbers and letters as well the hyphen. The maximum of 67 characters already includes both the sub domain name and the domain name extension. SO if you want to have an easy-recall website then you better start thinking about a witty domain name, The key is to make your domain name catchy, easy to remember and more or less gives the user an idea of what the website is all about.

However, you can already register a domain name even if you do not have a website. On the other hand, registration of a domain name does not carry with it a website. While some domain registering companies offer web hosting, you can register your domain name with them and choose from the various web hosting companies.

Never attempt to register a domain name which contains a trademark or name already belonging to another, unless you want to be prosecuted as a cybersquatter.

The author is a regular contributor to Primo Domain Names where more information about selecting and registering domain names is available.
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

YOUR OWN .COM

Author: Art-Luff

Before obtaining your web site you'll need to have and register a domain name for your site. Now a domain name is nothing more than the web address that potential clients and customers will use to locate your site. This is also called the URL of the website. This is what you and your customers will type into their internet browsers top window in order to go to a specific website. Your web sites theme should be built around you domain name. So taking care to chose the right domain name is very important. You'll want your domain name to say something that describes the content or theme of your site. This can't be stressed enough.

The availability of your domain may take some trial and error. Since there are so many sites coming online every day, it stands to reason that your first choice, in all probability, will not be available. It may take many variations of your domain name of choice before you find one that is available.

However, there are services available in the internet that offers domain name search. These websites will search for similar domain names and tell you if the domain name you chose is unique or if it is unavailable before you register it.

When creating a website, thinking of a domain name for your website is the first thing you have to do. The next step would be finding out if your domain name is taken or if it is available. It can be very frustrating to find out that your chosen domain name is already being used and is unavailable. This is why it is recommended that you should think of several potential domain names for your website and try them out one by one.

To check for your domain name availability, there are websites that offer domain name search. These services usually come from websites that offer domain name registration. Your domain name can also be the same as other domain names, provided that the extension is different. An example of a domain name extension is the “.com”. Today, there are different kinds of domain name extension. Here are some examples:

• .com
• .info
• .biz
• .net
• .us

Any and All of these extensions may be used for your upcoming website. If at all possible, try and stick with the .com extension. It is the most widely used and if you or a potential visitor forgets the extention. Your machine, will by default, resolve to the .com extension.

As I said before, the process of chosing your domain name may take a bit of time since there are thousands of new domains coming online every day. All needing and looking for a domain name. You'll be amazed at just how many variations of your particular domain will come back as unavailable. Don't give up. You'll eventually get the one you want.

Once you chose an available domain name for your website, the next step would be registering it. This can be done right from the source of search. If not there are numerous domain registration websites that offer this service. Domain name registration websites usually charges a fee for their domain name registration services. These websites differ in prices for domain name registration services; it is up to you to choose what domain name registration website you want to use. My choice would be Go-Daddy.com or Yahoo.com. Both have specials that offer your first years registration fee for cheap. Only to revert back to the regular $8.99 per year for the 2nd and 3rd years.

After registering your domain name, you will now be ready to create your website. Always remember that before creating a website, you will first need a domain name in order for you to put the contents of your website on the internet.

Art Luff is Webmaster/Owner of http://www.yournamecheap.com/ Visit his site to chose and register your domain for just $4.99 per year.
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

HOW TO SELECT YOUR DOMAIN NAME

Author: J Dubo

Copyright 2006 business-cards.com

There are many different opinions on how to select the best domain name for your business online. You want to draw the maximum number of customers to your site, and selecting an appropriate domain name will help you achieve that goal. A really good domain name serves not only as a piece of the technical jigsaw, but more importantly, it is your identity, brand and personality online.

At the present time, there seem to be two main theories on the best way to go. One belief is that you should use keywords in your domain name, for example, if you are selling extra size shoes in Chicago, then you may choose something like “bigshoeschicago.com”.

The other school of thought is that your domain name should reflect your brand, and most people seem to favor this approach. An example of a branding style domain name is this. If you own a company called Asian Art then your website would be called “asianart.com”.

The power of branding is greater than all other considerations, providing that you are willing and able to spend a vast amount of time, effort and money on it. Compare an auction house called “williamsofwales.com” with the mighty “eBay.com”. If you were searching for an online auction house, even if you lived in Wales, which would you choose?

Another consideration is if you decide on a keyword rich domain name, will your customers remember it? Will it look easy on the eye? How long should it be? If you go for four or five words, will your customers remember them? Will they remember if you have hyphens between words, or underscores?

You will need to strike a balance with this consideration against the fact that search engines do look at your domain name and analyze the content. It is important to understand the basic workings of various search engines. They are more likely to list your domain name in search results if the name contains common search keywords for the area of interest to which your site belongs. But not only do you need to consider the search engines behavior, you need to consider internet users behavior too. You would be wise to keep it simple.

If you decide to go with the simple classic branded domain name, but you see the sense in using keywords, then how about using your favourite keywords as directory or page names on your website? You could use: www.brandname.com/keyword/ for example.

Whatever you decide about selecting a domain name, whether you go for keywords or branding, remember that it is your own personal brand and personality when you are online and that, as important as it is – and it really is – content is king.

http://www.business-cards.com/ is one of the leading business stationery websites on the internet today. Jax

A domain is the title of your webspace. This name will become the title of your website and it will appear in your web address and URL and depending on your server it may also appear in your email address too.

Your domain name is usually your first contact with your potential customers. When you appear in a list of links on a link page or when your website turns up in a search engine results, your domain name is a crucial factor effecting your clickability.

So How do you choose a domain name?

There are four main points that you need to bear in mind.

What does your domain name say about the content on your website? Does it convey assumptions to the visitor of what they should expect to find when the click through to your website?

What subliminal messages does your domain name give to your prospective customer? Does the name sound - serious, business like, sleazy, cheesy, humorous? Your domain name needs to portray the genre of the subject matter of the website to ensure quality traffic.

When choosing a domain name, always double-check the word(s) meanings especially if you are using foreign words or human names. Baby Name books are a great help when choosing and checking domain names. They often have names in assorted languages, they also offer alternative and interesting spellings. This can be useful if your chose domain name is already taken.

The fort point for you to think about is a catchy tag line that will compliment your domain name and inform your visitors of your websites most redeeming features. This might include your - promises, aims, service, goods, selection, cheap prices or quality.

Thinking of a tag line might seem a little like jumping the gun so early on in the website process, but this is the sort of forward thinking that will give your website a shine, and give you the edge on your competitors.

S. You find a web hosting site, register with them, look for a desired domain name, select one that suits your business or personal fancy, choose what’s available and then you will be on your merry way to building the website’s innards. Easy, right? Not exactly because there is more to it than just getting a name that is appropriate for the business or a personal preference. The steps mentioned earlier would result in an ill constructed site that is going to be nameless in the world wide web and will be doomed to failure on the get go. This crude way of doing things will get you nowhere fast. Now why would anyone want that?

There is a better approach in making a name for your business or yourself on the net. It will be a presence that will be felt and sensed by your target audience whether they are your customers, prospective clients or a particular group of people. It’s easy enough to do this. You just have to know the right place to go on the web for help. Searching for the right domain for personal use or for a business is job best suited for professionals who understand the significance of internet jargons like keyword density, key phrases, search engine optimization, ranking and tags. What all these means is basically to have your site primed for search engines to find when people put in a search that concerns the subject, business identity or personal matter of your particular website.

Websites that exist for the sole purpose of locating or creating a new domain name for you are very reliable in terms of achieving their goal of increasing the likelihood that your site will come up on top of the list of sites when search engines spews out seek results. These so called domains finders are essential in any enterprise that is bent on achieving an online presence immediately. It is an established fact that search engines churn out sites that have been around for years. In other words, the age of a site does count when it comes to search results. How does this concern your site?

The domain finders are in the know as to which existing domains would not be reregistered or renewed by the current owners. Just imagine if your business coincides with a domain name that has been around for years. You’ll have first dibs with that domain name through a domain finder, in effect, they’ll claim it for you resulting in a well positioned new website with old rankings that will put you on top as quickly as when your site is ready. Another advantage of having a domain finder in your corner is that you can consolidate your entire site building needs from creating or finding a domain to the theme and content of your site. This would mean lesser legwork and lesser expenses since their comprehensive service would cover everything so you won’t end up paying more.

Tom Takihi is the owner of the Domains Finders website. Domain name registration is easy - finding the perfect domain name for your personal or business website is not! There are thousands of possibilities for your domain name, but you can only choose one domain name for a website. So, you must make it count! Here are some pointers to get you started with domain name
registration. It's easier than you think.

Keep your Domain Name Simple

A domain name should be simple so visitors will remember it easily. What's easier to remember - three or four words, or only one or two words? Obviously a short, simple domain name is easier to remember. The shorter the name, the less likely people are to misspell it as well. Your goal in choosing a domain name should be to find one that is easy to remember, easy to spell, and will stand out in the minds of visitors. It should be related to your products and services, or personal website theme.

TIP: Avoid using your company name initials or your own name initials. These do not describe anything at all about your website's theme. Visitors will not remember it unless you promote it heavily on national television and all over the Web. But, we'll leave that to "Corporate Web" for now!

Domain Name Registration Pricing

Don't be fooled by high domain name registration prices. Whether you pay a cheap domain name registration fee or a high fee, you're still getting the same thing - a domain name! There's no secret add-on service that can benefit you unless you're getting web hosting or a low-cost web site with your domain name. Otherwise, domain name registration is the same whether you order a cheap domain name or an expensive one. Be sure to shop around before you register.

Checking Domain Name Availability

You can visit almost any web hosting site to check the availability of a domain name. Never assume a domain name is available just because it doesn't show online when you try to bring it up in your browser. If a domain name is not showing online, it could be that the site's server is down at the moment, the owner is still designing a new web site and hasn't put it online yet, or the owner might be trying to sell the domain name. When you check to see if the domain name is available, you do not have to purchase it from the site where you checked. You can purchase it from any company that offers domain name registration once you know it is available.
Beware of Expired Domain Names

If you are considering buying an expired domain name, do research before completing the domain name registration process. You could be wasting your money! Ask the registrar questions about why the domain name has expired, what type of site it was before expiring, etc. Some expired domain names have been banned from the search engines all together because they were used by spammers or those selling illegal products or services. If that were the case, you'd be better off finding another domain name. Once a site is banned from the search engines, getting it listed again is almost impossible. Your chances for good, targeted traffic are next to none.

Web Hosting and Domain Names

Some companies offer both web hosting and domain name registration. Others might offer one or the other, or a combined package where you can get a low-cost web site along with a cheap domain name and web hosting. Though it's easier to keep up with billing and expenses if you do all this through one company, you are not required to host your site with the same company where you register your domain name. It will not affect how your web site services are handled, or how you operate your site.

Domain name registration can be an easy process once you decide on the right domain name. Your domain name will be a key player in your online success, so take your time to choose a winner!

Chris Robertson is an author of Majon International, one of the worlds MOST popular internet marketing companies. Affiliate marketing programs are the best alternatives to those who are sick and tired of their arduous daily work just to climb up the venerated corporate ladder. You don’t need products to sell, you just have to market them on your own web site and you don’t have to worry about processing the customers’ payments and the shipment of the products. If you are already into affiliate marketing, you probably were thinking about these benefits, too, before deciding to join an affiliate program.

Of course you want to earn a huge commission. Who wouldn't? Keep in mind, however, that affiliate marketing cannot guarantee you instant success if you don’t work on it. There are a lot of ways of maximizing your income. The Internet is a huge library of information, use it to learn of other opportunities and ways to increase your income. You can partner with several merchandisers and promote different products on your website; thereby, increasing your chance to earn a commission.

The easiest way for you to rev up your revenue potential is by incorporating Google AdSense into your marketing campaigns. What is Google AdSense? What are its advantages? How can it boost my revenues? These are some of the questions you might want to ask. Let’s try to probe into Google AdSense, so you would know how it could help you in your affiliate marketing program.

Merchants place their ads in Google, which is one of the most popular search engines or tools for locating various resources in the World Wide Web. Now the Google AdSense program allows you to display these ads in you website and when your visitors click through them, you earn. The advertiser, which is the merchant pays Google for every click-through made by the customer and you as a partner of Google, gets a share from that payment.

What’s great about the Google AdSense is that the ads are relevant to the content of your web page. Most likely, visitors of your web site are interested on the theme of your site and specifically, on the content of your web page. So, seeing ads related to their interest would definitely drive them to click through the link or the ad. Using state-of-the-art technology, Google scans your web site and matches the content of your pages to their large database of advertisers; this way, Google is able to find ads that are targeted by the users of your site. In addition, Google changes the ads in your site as you change the content of your pages, so you can always expect the ads to be relevant to your site.

Having Google ads in your website is also a way of convincing your users to return to your site. Repeat customers multiply your income without having to exert extra effort to convince them again to click through your links. And your potential to earn doesn’t depend on them alone. Since you already have their confidence, they can be your endorsers as well. They could refer your site to family and friends who probably share the same interests with them.

Advertisers in the Google AdSense program range from large international brands to small-time domestic and local businesses, so the targeted market for the ads can range as well. This adds variety to your site; thereby, attracting different kinds of users. As you attract more users, you increase your earning potential as well. If you are targeting a specific nationality for your site users, don’t worry because AdSense can be used in different languages.

In order to boost your revenues through Google AdSense, you must pay attention to making web pages of high value topics. Make contents related to high-paying ads, so you can earn more. Some ads pay only a few cents while some ads pay you dollars just for a single click. You would need to do a little research on this so you can come up with a more relevant content. Join affiliate marketing forums and get tips from experienced affiliate marketers.

Becoming an AdSense affiliate marketer is easy and fast. You just have to apply online and once your application is approved, you can instantly set up Google ads in your site. All you need to do is copy and paste some codes in your web pages and in no time the ads will appear in your site. Strike while the iron is hot! Take advantage of the favorable circumstances the Internet is offering you. Make the most of your affiliate marketing opportunities, use Google AdSense!

To get the Best Internet Business,Work at Home Ideas, Opportunities and Training Visit Us Today!!Get A Money Making Website Just For You That's 100%Ready To Take Orders And Pull In Massive ResidualProfits Today!
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

FIVE TIPS ON MAKING BIG MONEY USING ADSENSE

Author: Kurt Hansoll

From the beginning of the Adsense program people have tried to get the most out of they're Adsense Account. Here are a view tips on how to maximise your profit.

1. Place your adsense blocks in the hot spots of your site. Those hot spots are in the top of the page, the left or the right side and in the center of the page. If will place an adsense in the footer of a website that has a lot of content you can just figure it out for yourself that people will get rarely to that ad.

2. The colors of the adsense links must have the same colors of your site's links.

3. Don't make your site's background color a dark one. People won't be able to read the content very good and won't see the adsense links that well either. Keep your background color white. You can't go wrong with that.

4. Make your adsense blocks blend with the content. As long as you make people think the adsense links are part of your site they'll keep clicking those ads and make you the money.Put the ads exactly below your top menu and make it look like it shows some submenus. You can also put it in the center of your site right next to your site's content. That way people will think those links are related to the content and will click on them.

5. Another trick I've seen that it's starting to catch up is putting some small images on top of your adsense links. The eyes of the visitors are more attracted to the images than the text sow you get them to look at the ads in a short time. They'll think the links have relevancy with the images and once again they'll click on them.

I hope you liked this small article and I hope it will bring more money in your pockets.

See more great articles at: http://www.articleindexing.com/
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

COMMON ADSENSE MISTAKES

Author: Leger, Jonathan

In my experience with thousands of my AdSense Gold customers, I've noticed that new AdSense publishers tend to make the same mistakes. I made them too when I was new to AdSense.

I've decided to discuss 3 of the big mistakes with you so that you can have a head start and avoid these AdSense pitfalls. They are:

1. Selecting the wrong topics 2. Having too many topics on the same site 3. Trying to make a quick buck with bad traffic

Selecting The Wrong Topics

When I first started out with AdSense, I was one eager beaver. I wanted to create as many pages as I could, and I didn't care what topic they were about as long as it wasn't adult or gambling.

I put up a site on Old Time Radio Shows, and I was excited to see that I made a few dollars a month with it. What I didn't realize at the time is that my $0.10 clicks were the bottom of the proverbial AdSense barrel in terms of earnings.

I didn't know then that it paid to research the good, high paying topics. So I just put up sites on whatever I could think of that seemed easy to rank for in the search engines.

I was shooting myself in the foot! Once I realized that I could do a little keyword research and find out how much the keywords were worth, then I started focusing on the higher paying niches and started seeing the $1, $2, $5, $10 clicks and up. I don't get that much with every click, but often enough to keep me very happy!

So research your topics first using the AdWords Traffic Estimator Tool, or a good high paying keywords list such as Keyword Explosion.

Too Many Topics on One Site

Another mistake I see newbies make very often (and I made myself when I was a newbie) is having too many topics put on one website. I've seen sites that target everything from alphalpha to Zoro!

That's a bad idea for two main reasons:

1. It makes it hard to optimize your site.

You want your domain name to be targetted to the topic of the site (a great search engine optimization technique). If you have every manner of topic on the site, you can't do this and lose out on the power that a great domain name can have with the search engines.

2. Google's Smart Pricing doesn't like it.

If you're not familiar with it, SmartPricing is what Google uses to figure out how much your page is worth in relation to the ads showing on the page. The more Smart Pricing likes your pages, the more you will get paid per click.

One of the things I've seen with Smart Pricing is that it likes tightly focused, targetted sites. You might have a lot of pages on one site, but they need to be related to each other.

"But I can't afford more than one domain right now," you might protest.

If that's the case, the best thing you can do is to create subdomains for each of the categories that your site targets.

For example, if you have a site that targets "alphalpha" and "Zoro", have two subdomains:
http://alphalpha.mydomain.com/http://zoro.mydomain.com/
Do not have the subdomains link to each other either. That way Google seems them as seperate "mini-sites".

For more details on how to optimize the pages on your site so that the search engines just love them, read my free ebook, AdSense SEO Made Easy.

Be Careful What Kind of Traffic You Send To Your Sites

Not all traffic sources are created equal. There are a lot of sites out there selling "one hundred thousand visitors to your site for $49.95!" and the like.

What most of these sites do is use software to "simulate" a visit to your site. They are not real people. I've tested this extensively with a couple of vendors who sell this kind of traffic, and not once have I ever gotten any "real" people.

The problem is that sometimes those bots goof and "click" the ads by following the links.

Google sometimes sees those clicks as fraudulent, and many a new AdSense publisher has lost his account because of it.

So beware of shady or "too good to be true" traffic promises, they will only hurt you!

Focus on search engine optimization and link trading, that's where you're going to get the most bang for your buck.

Find more great articles on adsense mistakes and how to avoid them at Jonathan Leger's blog by clicking here.

Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

Content Is NOT King

Author: Leger, Jonathan

Content is King. How many times have you heard that? Do you believe it? I used to. But then I stopped to think how ridiculous that statement really is. Content is not King. Something far more valuable is King.

Well, not really King. What you want is more democratic in nature. You want visitors. After all, if you have ten million fantastic articles of top-notch unbeatable quality but have no visitors, what do you have really?

Don't get me wrong, as an AdSense publisher you want to be constantly creating quality content and adding it to your site. But you're creating the content for the sake of the visitors, not the other way around.

Once you've created a quality article and posted it to your site, it's time to market that article. Submit it to the major article directories (articlecity.com, ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com). Get links directly to the article from other sites. Find blogs on the topic and ask them to review your article on their blog. Make sure that article gets seen! Doing this will also help rank your article in the search engines.

It's a lot more beneficial to go out and market an article (and earn more money because of it) than it is to continually write new content that nobody is seeing because you never market it. Plus it's a great motivator when you see your best articles getting a lot of traffic and earning you money.

One great article can bring in hundreds or thousands of visitors, many of whom will browse your site looking for other great content. Be sure you take advantage of that by getting those visitors on an email list. Offer them some free gifts if they are willing to opt-in and be notified when you post new content. You want to keep those visitors coming back and earning you more money.
AdSense is considered by many a throw-away-traffic business: webmasters try to get a visitor to their page once in the hopes that they will click an ad, but they completely ignore the fact that if you give the visitor incentives to come back again you can earn money from two, three, five, twenty clicks or more from the same visitor over time!

No, content is not King. Your visitors are the only royalty. So make sure you get a lot of them, treat them right and give them plenty of reasons to stick around.

Jonathan Leger is a well known AdSense, Marketing and SEO professional who posts regularly to his Google AdSense blog.
Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com/

GET MOTIVATED TO CREATE NEW ADSENSE CONTENT

Author: Leger, Jonathan

If you're new to AdSense, getting motivated to write original content can be difficult.

SO IF ADSENSE IS DEAD THEN WHAT?

Author: Richard Keir

Copyright 2006 Richard Keir

I've been following this latest fantastic little adventure in internet marketing with a great deal of interest.

The Death of AdSense isn't something new. Savvy, big time players (these are NOT most Internet Marketing Gurus) have always said that AdSense isn't a business - it's something that can, CAN, generate an income, but which requires an exit strategy into a real business. Now, you can take this several ways. It is possible to construct a more or less viable business model around AdSense. But, you need to have a lot more resources than most people who try AdSense as an income source have.

I'm sorry, but this is reality. For most (by which I mean somewhere between 95 and 98% of the people putting up AdSense sites), it's penny scraping and it's hard and it's getting harder. Sure thing, you can build "authority sites." Uh huh. With PLR content? You think? I doubt it but try it and see.

Let's see who else I can get angry at me.

AdSense content ads still pay decent money in competitive markets - the problem is that competitive markets are difficult to get ranking in and therefore traffic for. Oh, it's possible, but it's an awful lot of work.

The major problem most MFA publishers face is that they don't do the work. Slap up a site and on to the next. Grab a template with a bunch of crummy content and HOPE you'll make a buck or 50 cents a day. Now that's nuts.

CPA (click per action), particularly for decent leads has generally always paid substantially more than something like AdSense. It is something you can establish a stable long-term business on. As long as you can get the traffic.

You can, certainly, get traffic through PPC. You can also lose your shirt. It's not a newbie game. If you're going to do PPC, you have got to do some serious studying and track everything very closely or you can go broke in short order.

Think about this. Say I do a monster hot viral deal and bag 27,000 marketers. And I turn them onto CPA at places that pay me a commission on sign up and a small percentage of the business those new affiliates bring in. Now, we're talking a little serious continuity. Month after month I'm getting a little bit from the efforts of what - 1000, 8000, 12000 people? Bring me another one of those funky drinks with the umbrella, the sun is strong and the beach is beautiful. Is that worth 50 cents per? I suspect so. And eventually, there's going to be one or more dyn-o-mite products with major price tags, too.

Boy, I'm seriously jealous. We're talking genuine genius stuff here. You see, it doesn't matter a damn whether AdSense is dead or not. A new path can be worth a fortune to those who didn't have a clue - and who are willing to do the learning and the work to make it happen. Most won't, of course. It's a lot of work. But some will and they should do very well.

In one sense, Ad Sense has always been dead. You're throwing away your traffic for pennies. And it's a lot of work to get ANY traffic.

But for most, CPA is going to be a dangerous and potentially ruinous game. It sounds terrific, but nobody's telling you how to get those PPC costs for your landing pages down from maybe 5 or 10 bucks per click. Hey, wake up, remember the Google slap, landing page quality measures, etc.
There are some brilliant, knowledgeable, capable people running around loose who do give out valuable information. They aren't stupid. That means they do it for a reason. You can use their information to improve your business, but you absolutely have to get a grip on their goals too. You have to understand not only what you're doing and why but what they're doing and why. You are going to have to stop believing blindly everything that sounds terrific and matches, more or less, your own experience. Ugly, but you have to use your head and actually think. A zillion lemmings running blindly after the latest greatest revelation - it's the same stupid game of looking, over and over, for the one miraculous tool, idea, concept, piece of software that's going to make you a fortune. It isn't going to happen. The magic bullet doesn't exist. Stop wasting your time and money.

Create a workable plan - one you can actually carry out. MFA, affiliate sales, creating your own product, CPA (if you can do the PPC or are willing to learn). Any one of these can make you money. If you stop screwing around looking for the answer and the easy money. There is NO easy money. It's all either work (for most of us) or sheer bloody genius combined with an insane amount of luck (for the few).

Well, I hope I managed to offend everybody who's pulling your chain to suck a couple more nickels out of you. If not, maybe in my next article. But you - you have got to do some very serious work on your BS detector. You need to understand how you are being done to and why. It isn't necessarily a bad thing. You are getting really valuable information, but you still need to evaluate and understand it, not accept it as if Moses were dumping one of those stone tablets on you. Even I'm trying to sell you stuff.

Richard's always had a bad attitude. And a somewhat deviant perspective and style. Many have seen their Adsense profits and income flatline... seen their four or five figure monthly
Adsense income disappear overnight. For many the Google Adsense bubble has burst.

What happened?

First, Google made a change in its Adsense program, letting advertisers choose between putting their ads in the search results or on the content pages of Adsense publishers. Search won out and started to receive the higher bids. Search results convert better than content ads.

Next, Google has cracked down on Junk Adsense sites, like they should. These sites consisted mainly of software generated re-hashed search engine links and were totally annoying to say the least. But Google also cracked down on 'squeeze pages' or 'affiliate landing pages' - a lucrative source of income for many online marketers, mainly because these pages helped marketers build an opt-in list or use permission based email.

The results of these changes produced an Adsense meltdown for many online marketers.

Some Internet marketers are speculating recent changes could even mean the death of Adsense. One online marketer, Scott Boulch even published a free report entitled 'The Death of Adsense".

Many affiliate marketers would agree with Boulch on some of his points, especially the obvious fact that using Adsense on your web content is starting on the bottom rung of the online marketing ladder. Instead of receiving pennies per click with Adsense, alert marketers and webmasters have already discovered that by using CPA (Cost-Per-Action) and direct affiliate links, they can produce significantly more revenue from their web pages. Why earn pennies per click when you can earn $5, $10 or OVER $100 per click?

But the fine people at Google are catching on...

In the past Google has made its own swing to the Cost-Per-Action direction with its referral system for the Firefox Browser and giving webmasters credit for signing up Adwords and Adsense accounts.

Many online marketers believe Google needs to expand on these baby steps and open their Adsense affiliate program up to third party products/advertisers. In a recent company statement Google offered some hope: "We're always looking for new ways to provide effective and useful features to advertisers, publishers, and users," the company stated "As part of these efforts we are currently testing a cost-per-action (CPA) pricing model to give advertisers more flexibility and provide publishers another way to earn revenue through AdSense." Basically, in cost-per-action, advertisers pay for leads, purchases or customer acquisition. It would help with the click fraud issue and the monetary returns could potentially make Adsense's revenues pale in comparison.

As more and more commerce goes online... acquiring customers for such diverse services as insurance, real estate, telephone, marketing, web hosting, travel, mortgage loans, cable TV, banking... you name it, almost any service or product sold in the marketplace is now turning to the Internet for customers and lifelong clients.

Enormous sums of money will change hands. Perhaps, the most lucrative of these is customer acquisition. Advertisers are turning to the Internet and webmasters/marketers for acquiring these lifelong customers for their respective services and products. Businesses and companies are quickly realizing paying an attractive lead generating fee/commission is smart business. They quickly build a client base for their services or products and quickly recoup their expenses - realizing in the long run these leads will generate huge profits.
It can also mean huge profits for the CPA networks like ValueClick's Commission Junction and Rakuten's LinkShare who supply the advertisers with publishers and website marketers to harvest these leads. It can be a lucrative venture for all involved, especially for those online marketers who have cornered the search engines for lucrative niche markets in big ticket items. Even small ticket items pay quite well for those marketers who know how to market online.

Contextual advertising is fine, but CPA (Cost-Per-Action) will offer much better returns for the website owner. Making any profitable site much more profitable. It will and is opening up a whole area of marketing opportunities that never existed before we had the Internet. Creating a complex structure of advertisers, publishers and the Affiliate/CPA companies that connect the two.

Of course, cutting out the middle man has always been even a more profitable venture for most marketers. As more and more webmasters realize they can make much more with dealing directly with companies, rather than going through a middle process like Google Adsense or the countless other affiliate/CPA networks ... online marketers can reap even bigger rewards.

For an online marketer when you get a phone call or email from the CEO or the affiliate manager with a company or service you're promoting with your website - you know you have made it! Dealing directly with a company usually means bigger commissions and special exclusive deals just for you or your sites.

Only fly in the ointment, all that extra paperwork and business wheeling and dealing. Many marketers and website owners like the idea of someone else handling all the tracking, collecting payments, promotional materials... they just like to sit back and build more websites and content. It gives the affiliate marketer a lifestyle that they are looking for on the web. They just like to market and promote with their sites and let someone else worry about the details. Therefore, there will always be a place for contextual ads like Google Adsense... "Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."

However, could CPA be a better alternative for the current Adsense contextual ads?

Google would be the natural choice for a middleman if there ever was one. Besides, many savvy marketers know the Google brand name is trusted online, any product/service promoted through Google would be an easy sell. Many argue Google already dominates the web, why should it not be the one to handle these CPA transactions through its Adsense program.

On the flip side, over countless updates and changes to its indexing, many webmasters have experienced more than a few negative dealings with Google. Many have won, many have lost in this Google Age, but all have realized riding the Google Search Engine is like running with the bulls at Pamplona, totally thrilling unless you're one of the unfortunate few who get trampled in the process.

The author is a former teacher who now works full-time online operating numerous websites, including two sites on Internet marketing. Many internet marketing ideas readily exist that someone else has developed and perfected, just waiting to be implemented. One such opportunity is using the Adsense program with none other than Google. Very quickly, anyone who has already started their Adsense program has figured out that just getting your account set up, putting the advertisement snippets on your web pages are a few helpful marketing ideas to enhance your revenue and profits.

According to Google, the Adsense program contains three distinct sections that influence the exact amount of your revenue. These are: Clickthrough rates, Page impressions, and Effective cost per thousand impressions (CPM).

It may seem simple but the truth for many is, by simply adding Google ads to any new or existing website you have will automatically maximize possible revenue streams. Google places relevant CPC (cost-per-click) and CPM ads into the same auction and lets them compete against one another. The auction takes place instantaneously and when it's over Adsense will automatically display the text or image ad(s) that will generate the maximum revenue for a page -- and the maximum revenue for you.

Clickthrough rates are mathematically determined as a percentage of viewers who have chosen to click on your particular advertisement, versus the total number of impressions viewed. This number can be influenced and enhanced by carful wording, structure, and layout of the surrounding information to any given ad. Google attempts to adapt each advertisement placed to appropriately fit their ad to the content, context, and relevance of the web pages themselves. The more the information surrounding the Google ads have in common, the more specific and targeted Google is able to make their ads.

For example, if your web page is designed to focus on bicycles, you would make sure that the work "bicycles" appears prominently through the page, typically with several aspects about the bikes outlined. This greatly increases the likelihood that Google will deliver specific advertisements for bicycles to your ad pages. The net effect is delivery of targeted which in turn increases your clickthrough rate.

Page impressions simply stated are the number of occurrences web pages that contain Adsense ads are viewed for a given period of time. There is no getting around this issue. Unless you have traffic coming to your site, well maximized Adsense activities will do you no good! Increasing traffic to your site is a multi-dimensional effort that involves a multitude of different techniques and efforts. These typically include such things as a reciprocal linking strategy, article submissions, forum participation, directory submission, pay-per-click (PPC) programs, and a carefully planned and implemented search engine optimization (SEO) strategy.

Effective cost per thousand impressions (CPM). The measure of importance for CPM gauges a marketer's average revenues or earnings, per thousand clicks. The goal being to increase the CPM earnings average as high as possible. This ensures maximum profits and revenues. A key to increasing the CPM effectiveness is careful selection of keywords. Depending on the popularity of specific words, Google pays according to this popularity. Keywords that receive millions of clicks pay a much higher rate (per click) than those with low click frequency. To locate additional information about keyword research tools, simply run a search on Google. You will find information ranging from the use of search engines such as Overture, to a wide variety of keyword search tools.

Utilizing these simple techniques, you should be able to substantially increase your profits and success with the Google Adsense program. Combining these with other strategies (such as the location Google ads within a given web page) will dramatically increase both the efficiency and effectiveness of your campaign activities.

Stephen Wright is President & CEO of http://www.internetmarketingusa.com/ Would you like to make money online, but don't know where to begin? Recent reports indicate profits are up 110% to $721m in the three months to June 2006. Much of these Google profits come from their clever and very successful advertising program called Google Adwords.

Google, essentially a search company, had gained market dominance through smart ranking technologies that provided the user with the most relevant search results ever possible to date. It’s simple user interface, coupled with smart algorithms combined with a snappy name and logo has made it the most used search engine today, putting itself years ahead from it’s closest rivals. A listing for a targeted search term in the first page or two of Google’s organic listing is every webmaster’s dream. This means huge success in terms of traffic, sales and hence money in the bank! But, unfortunately, it is not possible for every website to be listed on the first page or two. Google saw the potential for offering paid listings that will appear alongside organic results for a search term. In this way, a webmaster can still get his website onto the first page or two under sponsored listings but for a price. Google launched their pay-per-click program – an advertiser only pays when someone clicks their ad, called it Adwords and the rest, as they say, is history!

Google then followed up with a progam called Adsense which is linked to Adwords. Adsense is where any ordinary webmaster (called a publisher) can display relevant ads from Google’s advertisers on their site. When a user to that site clicks an ad, Google pays them a percentage of that click cost.

Google, by it’s very existence, has given webmasters a chance to earn money in ways that wouldn’t have been possible. Currently, people make cash out of Google by using Adwords and/or Adsense. Thousands of ordinary people are sharing in on Google’s success and profits, making for themselves nice checks every month in the process. Let’s see how.

Adwords

Adwords are used by off-line and online businesses alike to advertise their products or services. But, for ordinary people, that’s not where the money is. Thousands of people are combining the versatility of affiliate programs with the reach of Adwords, making themselves a lot of money in the process.

People search for products that they can promote and more people turn to http://www.clickbank.com/ for this. Clickbank, a large Internet company, acts as reseller, payment processor and affiliate commission payer all in one. It works like this. A publisher, wanting to sell his/her products signs up with Clickbank and enters Clickbank’s marketplace. Affiliates wanting to promote the publisher’s products, signs up with Clickbank first as an affiliate and obtains an ID which is used in a special link called a hop link.

The affiliate then markets the publisher’s products by way of advertising, especially on Google Adwords (but can be by any other means although Google Adwords produces best results) in an effort to drive traffic to the site of the publisher. If the referral results in a sale, Clickbank processes the transaction, takes a percentage of the sale, allocates the commission to the affiliate and the balance to the publisher. Clickbank pays affiliates and publishers every two weeks.

This appeal and popularity lies in the fact that affiliates don’t need to have a product or website of their own and the commissions offered are very generous, sometimes as high as 75% of the product price. Affiliates also have the luxury of marketing a number of products from different publishers all at once.

But, a word of warning. Adwords is a bit intricate and very few people understand the system fully. If you don’t know what you are doing, you can lose a lot of money in a very short space of time. My advice would be to learn the system thoroughly, try a few small test campaigns and tweak as you go along. Never spend more than what you feel comfortable with and intensify your campaign only when you see positive results.

Adsense

Here, publishers on Google’s Content Network receive a commission when someone clicks on Google ads on their site. When an advertiser advertises with Adwords, he is given a few options. He can advertise on Google Search – ads appear as sponsored results alongside organic search results when users search using Google’s Search Engine, Google Search Network – ads appear on Google’s search partners and Content Network – independent websites that host Google ads ie. the Adsense sites we are talking about.

Participating in Google Adsense is relatively easy. You simply sign up for free at Google and when your site has been approved, you will be given Javacript code that you place on your website. Google provides publishers a range of options when it comes to ad sizes and colors in order to complement their site’s design and theme.

There are numerous tips to increase your Adsense revenue – too numerous to mention in this little article but I’ll tell you the most important ones. Firstly, build a website for the user and not Adsense. Put quality, fresh content that is relevant to your website and not duplicate, trashy content. Google is clamping down on sites made just for Adsense that offer the user no real benefit. Secondly, optimize your web pages correctly. Lastly, concentrate all your efforts on getting good, regular traffic to your site - after all, if no one visits your site, who will click on the ads?

Yes, making money with Google is possible but won’t happen overnight. Continuously research and test but most of all go slow, put in some hard work and keep up with it! When starting an article directory you will need to have a quality website that people can visit. Your site needs to be well laid out and easy to navigate. If your visitors have to go through a lot of trouble to find what they are looking for they will simply go elsewhere. So the more pages of content that you have on your site, the better chance there is that you will make a lot of money with just Adsense.

In addition, you can place banner ads on your pages as well. These can be put anywhere there is some space. As you begin to get more and more traffic at your site, the price that you can sell ad space for will begin to increase. If you can move into the top sector of the article directory industry you can sell ad space for a high premium. After all, other sites are always looking for a way to get their name out. And what better way than to advertise on a high traffic site that brings in a lot of different types of people. If you are going to start an article directory keep in mind that there is a lot of competition out there. Not only are there several established article directory sites, but there are many that are up and coming. This is not to say that you should stay away though. The fact of the matter is that you can make big money if you stick with your plan.

An article directory is a great online business venture.
